Sicily & Aeolian Islands
During this one-week field course to Sicily and the Aeolian Islands we climb Europe’s active volcanoes Vulcano, Stromboli and Aetna. This trip is intended for BSc-students with a major Energy- & Mineral Resources, any other geology stream is also welcome. Its goal is a fundamental understanding of volcanisms and associated plate tectonics, and a general understanding of the geology of the Alpine event in Europe and Northern Africa.
